You’re Doing Everything Right and Still Dragging, What Gives?!
You're sleeping enough, you're eating well (or at least trying to) AND you're exercising … but you still feel like you're running on 60%.
That gap between the effort and care you’re putting in and how you actually feel is exhausting. Supplements sit on your counter. You take them most days, but the fatigue, the brain fog, the heaviness that settles in around 2 p.m. …. none of it seems to budge.
Does This Sound Like You?
Here's why that happens: your body may not be absorbing what you're swallowing. Oral supplements pass through your digestive system, and depending on your gut health, absorption rates can drop dramatically. A vitamin injection bypasses all of that. It goes directly into the muscle, straight into your bloodstream, and your body uses it immediately.
Imagine waking up and actually feeling the difference. Energy that holds through the afternoon. Mental clarity that doesn't require a third coffee. That's what the right injection, matched to the right deficiency, can do.
Who are Vitamin Injections For?
Most healthy adults are good candidates for vitamin injections. If you're dealing with fatigue, brain fog, low mood, or sluggish metabolism, and especially if oral supplements haven't moved the needle, an injection matched to your actual deficiency can make a noticeable difference.
They're also a natural add-on if you're already coming in for Botox®, HRT, or medical weight loss. Five extra minutes, and everything else works better.
Because I'm a nurse practitioner, I can order bloodwork and identify what's actually low before we inject anything. You're not guessing from a menu. You're getting a targeted boost based on real numbers.
Each injection has its own contraindications and I've listed a few of the common ones below each of the vitamin injections I offer. Universally, you should not get any vitamin injection if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a known allergy to any ingredient in the injection. Beyond that, I screen for everything else during your consultation.

What’s On The Vitamin Injection Menu at Contour Medical
-
Energy, mood, and nervous system support. This is the most common injection I do, and for good reason. If you're dealing with fatigue, brain fog, or a diagnosed B12 deficiency, this is where we start. Clients who absorb B12 poorly through food or supplements notice the biggest difference here, often within a day or two.
Not recommended if you have Leber's disease (a hereditary eye condition) or a known allergy to cyanocobalamin or cobalt. -
Bone health, immune function, and mood support. If you live in Canada, you're probably low. Winters in the Niagara region mean limited sun exposure for months, and oral D3 supplements are notoriously hard to absorb. A D3 injection gets your levels up faster and holds them more reliably.
-
Methionine, Inositol, and Choline combined with B12. This one supports fat metabolism and liver function. I often pair it with the [medical weight loss program](/medical-weight-loss-niagara) because it complements the work your body is already doing to burn stored fat. It's not a weight loss shortcut. It's metabolic support that makes the rest of your plan more effective.
Not recommended if you have a sulfa allergy, severe liver or kidney disease, or active cancer.
-
NAD+ is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy and DNA repair. Your body produces less of it as you age, which is part of why recovery slows down and energy drops year over year. The injection version delivers the same benefits as a NAD+ IV drip in a fraction of the time and at a lower cost. If you're interested in cellular health without committing to a full IV session, this is the option.
Not recommended if you have active cancer, serious cardiovascular conditions, or are on medications that affect mitochondrial function. I'll screen for these during your consultation.
-
Your body's most powerful antioxidant. Glutathione supports detoxification, skin brightness, and cellular repair. Like NAD+, this is also available as a full [IV therapy](/iv-therapy-niagara) infusion, but the injection version works well for clients who want the benefits without the time commitment.
Not recommended if you have severe liver or kidney impairment.
How Do I Know if I Need a B12 Injection?
A B12 injection works best when you know it's the right one for what your body actually needs. That starts with bloodwork.
Because I'm a licensed nurse practitioner, I can order bloodwork, identify your specific deficiencies, and recommend the injection that actually makes sense for your body. You're not guessing. You're not picking from a menu because something sounds good. You're getting a targeted boost based on real data.
That distinction matters. A B12 shot when you're not B12-deficient is expensive urine. A B12 shot when your levels are genuinely low can change how your entire week feels.
How Do Vitamin Injections Work?
A vitamin injection is an intramuscular shot, similar to a flu vaccine. It takes about five minutes. There's no IV line, no sitting in a chair for an hour, and no prep required.
You can book it as a standalone visit or add it to an existing appointment. Most clients roll it into whatever else they're already here for. In and out.
No downtime. You go right back to your day.
Vitamin Injections vs IV Therapy
Think of it this way: vitamin injections are the targeted version. One nutrient, five minutes, you're done. IV therapy delivers a full cocktail of vitamins, minerals, and hydration over 30 to 60 minutes. Which you choose for you depends on what your body needs and how much time you have.
If you're not sure which makes more sense for you, that's a question I can answer in more depth during your consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions About Vitamin Injections
-
It depends on the injection and your levels. B12 is commonly done weekly to monthly, especially if you have an absorption issue or a diagnosed deficiency. D3, NAD+, and Glutathione schedules vary based on your bloodwork and how you respond. I'll recommend a frequency after reviewing your numbers.
-
If you're a returning client, yes. Quick visits are available for vitamin injections on their own. If you're new, I recommend booking an initial consultation so I can review your health history and, if needed, order bloodwork to make sure we're giving you what you actually need.

Same nutrients, different delivery. Intramuscular injection bypasses your digestive system entirely, which means higher absorption rates. This is especially important for clients who have gut issues, absorption problems, or deficiencies that oral supplements haven't been able to correct.
