The Fear Everyone Has About Lip Filler
You want fuller lips. You have wanted them for a while. But every time you get close to booking, the same image stops you: the overfilled, pillowy, obviously-had-work-done look that you have seen on social media and swore you would never end up with.
That fear is valid, and it is also the reason I approach lip injections the way I do.
I would rather you leave my clinic wanting a little more than feeling like you got too much. You can always add. You cannot take it away.
And if the worst-case scenario is ever on your mind, here is something worth knowing: hyaluronic acid lip filler is reversible. It can be dissolved if you are ever unhappy with the result. That almost never happens with a conservative approach, but knowing the option exists tends to make the decision easier.
Lip filler at Contour Medical is about enhancing what you already have. More volume, better definition, improved symmetry, or all three, depending on what you are after. I offer both a full syringe and a half syringe because sometimes a little is exactly enough.
You Might Be Thinking About Lip Filler If...
You want a subtle change. Your lips are fine, but you have always wanted them a little fuller or more defined. You are not looking for a dramatic difference. You want the kind of result where people say "you look great" without being able to pinpoint what changed. A half syringe might be all you need.
Your lips changed over time. Volume loss happens gradually as you age, and at some point you noticed that your lips look thinner than they used to, your lip border is less defined, or the proportions of your face shifted. You are not trying to get bigger lips. You want to restore what was there before.
You want to correct something specific. One side is slightly fuller than the other. Your cupid's bow is flat. Your lip border has softened. Lip filler can address specific asymmetries and definition issues without adding a lot of overall volume.
You have been somewhere else and the result was not what you wanted. Maybe it was too much, too fast. Maybe it wasn’t enough. Maybe nobody asked what you wanted before they started. You are reading this because you want someone who listens first and injects second.

What to Expect from Lip Filler
-
Your lips will look bigger than the final result. That is swelling, not the filler. Expect puffiness for 24 to 48 hours, with most of the swelling subsiding by day three to five. Minor bruising is possible but usually fades quickly. Do not judge your result during this phase.
-
You will see your final lip filler results around the two-week mark, once all the swelling has settled. If you want a small adjustment at that point, I offer a follow-up to fine-tune.
-
Six to twelve months, depending on the product, your metabolism, and how much you got. Clients who do regular top-ups tend to find that results last longer over time because there is residual volume from previous sessions.
How a Lip Filler Appointment Works at Contour Medical
It starts with a conversation about what you actually want. I look at your lip anatomy, your facial proportions, and your skin, and I listen to what bothers you and what you are hoping to change. That assessment matters because your anatomy determines where the product should go, how much will look natural, and which approach will get the result you are after.
I apply a topical numbing cream before we start, and the filler itself contains lidocaine, so by the time the needle touches your lip the sensation is reduced to pressure and mild discomfort. Most clients say it is much more manageable than they expected.
The injection takes about 15 to 30 minutes. I place the filler strategically, working with the natural shape of your lips rather than imposing a template. Where I put the product, how deep I place it, and how much I use in each area all vary from client to client because no two sets of lips are the same.
Full Syringe vs Half Syringe: Which One is Right for You?
Half syringe (Mini Lip Filler) is not a budget version. It is a genuinely good option for clients who want subtle enhancement, who are doing lip filler for the first time, or who naturally have decent volume and just want a bit more definition. Many of my clients start here and are happy with the result. Some come back for a full syringe later. Some do not need to.
**Full syringe** is the right choice when you want more noticeable volume, when you have significant volume loss, or when you are treating multiple areas of the lip (volume plus border plus cupid's bow) and need the product to go further.
I will tell you during your consultation which option I think makes sense for your anatomy and your goals. If a half syringe will give you what you want, I will say so. I am not going to upsell you into product you do not need.

Lip filler cost depends on whether you choose a full syringe or a half syringe.
In St. Catharines you can expect to pay from $450 - 600+ for a full syringe depending on the brand of lip filler and the clinic.
Don’t panic … my prices aren’t on the high end of that range. Final pricing depends on your goals, which we'll walk through together during your consultation. This way you know exactly what you are paying before anything happens.
How Much Does Lip Filler Cost in St. Catharines?
Your face is not the place to bargain hunt. But it's also not the place to overpay for a brand name when what actually matters is the person holding the equipment.
Frequently Asked Questions About Lip Filler
-
That is the entire goal. I work with your existing lip anatomy to enhance what is already there, not create something that was not. A natural result means your lips look fuller and more defined, but people cannot tell you had filler unless you tell them.
-
Absolutely. Many first-time clients start with a half syringe and love the result. It gives you a feel for what filler does without committing to a full syringe. You can always add more at a later appointment if you decide you want it.
-
Numbing cream is applied before treatment, and the filler contains lidocaine to reduce sensation during the injection but it probably doesn’t feel like a warm summer day. Most clients describe it as uncomfortable but manageable, like a pinch and some pressure. The entire process is over in 15 to 30 minutes.
-
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. If you are ever unhappy with your result, it is reversible. That said, with a conservative approach and a thorough consultation beforehand, most clients are very happy with their lips.
Why Clients Choose Contour Medical Aesthetics & Wellness for Lip Filler in St. Catharines
I am a licensed nurse practitioner, which means I have training in vascular anatomy that goes beyond standard injector certification. That matters around the lips because the lip area has a dense network of blood vessels, and understanding that anatomy is what keeps the procedure safe and the results precise.
My approach is conservative on purpose. I start with less, let things settle, and adjust if needed at your two-week follow-up. The best lip filler result is the one that looks like your lips on a really good day, not like you had a procedure.
Every consultation and every injection is me. You are not being seen by whoever happens to be available. I know your face, I remember what we discussed, and I build on that relationship over time.
