Your Skincare Routine is Doing Everything Right.
But Your Skin Still Looks Dull.
You drink the water. You use the serums. You've spent more money on moisturizer than you'd ever admit out loud. And your skin still looks flat, tired, and like it's missing something you can't quite name.
That's not a skincare problem. That's a hydration problem that lives deeper than any topical product can reach.
Here's the thing: creams and serums work on the surface. They sit on top of the skin and do what they can from the outside in. But when the deeper layers of your skin lose their ability to hold moisture, no amount of product on top will give you that lit-from-within look you're scrolling past every day.
Imagine your skin actually holding onto moisture the way it used to. That dewy, rested look that people notice but can't pinpoint. Not because you changed your routine, but because your skin is genuinely hydrated at a level your bathroom shelf can't touch.
That's what skin boosters do.
What Are Skin Boosters?
Skin boosters are injectable hyaluronic acid treatments designed to hydrate your skin from within. Unlike dermal fillers, which add volume and structure to specific areas, skin boosters spread evenly through the skin to improve overall hydration, texture, and glow.
Think of it this way: Filler reshapes, a skin booster recharges.
The hyaluronic acid in a skin booster attracts and holds water in the dermal layer of your skin. That's the layer underneath what you see in the mirror, the one responsible for how plump, smooth, and alive your skin looks on the surface. When that layer is properly hydrated, everything above it looks better. Your pores look smaller, texture smooths out and your skin looks like it belongs to someone who sleeps nine hours a night (even if you sometimes don’t).
No volume change. No altered features. Just better skin.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Skin Boosters?
Face is the most common area, and it's where most clients start. Overall glow, improved texture, smaller-looking pores.
Neck is one of the areas that shows dehydration first. Skin boosters restore smoothness and reduce that crepey look that moisturizer barely touches.
Decolletage gets sun exposure, shows texture changes early, and is often neglected in skincare routines. Skin boosters make a visible difference here.
Hands are the area most people forget about entirely. Your hands show dryness and skin quality changes quickly. Skin boosters restore hydration in a way that hand cream never will.

Who are Skin Boosters For?
I use Revanesse® Renew™+, a hyaluronic acid skin booster built for deep hydration. Most people are good candidates. If your skin is healthy and you want better texture, more glow, or that "I actually sleep eight hours" look, skin boosters will probably work for you.
They're especially effective if you're already doing microneedling or chemical peels. Well-hydrated skin responds better to collagen stimulation and resurfacing, so skin boosters make your other treatments work harder.
You should not get skin boosters if you:
Have an active infection in the treatment area
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have a known allergy to lidocaine or hyaluronic acid
Have a known allergy to bees or wasps
If any of those apply right now, book a consultation with me and we can figure out timing or an alternative that works better for you.
Why Hydration Matters More Than You Think
Dehydrated skin doesn't just look dull. It accelerates every other concern you're trying to address. Fine lines look deeper on dry skin. Texture looks rougher. Makeup sits differently. Your skin loses that resilience that makes it bounce back from a late night or a stressful week.
Skin boosters don't just improve how your skin looks today. They change how your skin behaves going forward.
How Skin Booster Treatments Work
I start by assessing your skin quality, not just your concerns. Sometimes what looks like a texture problem is actually a hydration problem. Sometimes clients come in asking about microneedling and I recommend starting with skin boosters instead, because the hydration piece needs to happen first.
The treatment involves micro-injections of hyaluronic acid placed just below the surface of the skin. The injections are small and spaced evenly across the treatment area. You may notice tiny bumps at the injection sites immediately after. They resolve completely within a day or two.
The whole appointment takes about 20 to 30 minutes so you can get right back to your day afterwards!
Your results build gradually over 2 to 4 weeks as the hyaluronic acid draws water into the dermal layer.
Most clients need 2 to 3 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart for the full effect, then maintenance every 4 to 6 months.

Fillers add volume and structure to specific areas of your face, like cheeks, lips, or jawline. Skin boosters don't add volume at all. They spread through the skin to improve overall hydration, texture, and glow. The goal is better skin quality, not a change in shape or contour.

Most clients see the best results after 2 to 3 initial sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. After that, maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 months keep the hydration level where you want it. I'll build a schedule based on how your skin responds.
-
Absolutely. Skin boosters pair well with microneedling and chemical peels. Better-hydrated skin responds more effectively to collagen stimulation and resurfacing. Many of my clients layer these treatments as part of a longer-term skin quality plan.
Frequently Asked Questions About Skin Boosters
Why Clients Choose Contour Medical Aesthetics & Wellness for Microneedling in St. Catharines
I take time with every client. Before we talk about treatment, I want to understand what's going on with your skin, what you've tried, and what's frustrating you. Sometimes the answer is skin boosters. Sometimes it's microneedling, or a combination. Sometimes it's something you haven't considered yet. You'll understand why I'm recommending what I'm recommending before we start.
Because I'm a licensed nurse practitioner, I'm also looking at the bigger picture. Skin hydration isn't just about what you put on or in your skin. Hormones, nutrition, and overall health all play a role. If something else is driving your skin changes, I'll tell you.
Every consultation and every treatment is me. One practitioner who knows your skin, your history, and your goals.
